Employee Service Center Catalog Home Redirect Issue

Hi,

We've encountered an issue with the Employee Service Center Catalog Home Redirect.  In our portal, we have defined a Catalog Home Page which is not sc_home.  In several of our forms, we select the 'Redirect To' as the Catalog Home.  In the widget 'SC Catalog Item', when 'catalog home' is selected as the redirect, it is hard-coded in the widget's client script to redirect to 'sc_home' regardless of what is defined as the Portal's Catalog home page.  The work-around given to us was to either clone/customize the widget or to script on every form that we need to redirect to the catalog to redirect to the Portal's defined catalog home.  SN is not considering this a defect since this is how they coded it.

Has anyone else encountered this and how have you handled it.

Sorry for the long delay.

I looked at page route maps, but it does not seem like these would help.  They appear to be to generic a routing.  In the record producers, there is the option to redirect either to the record or back to the catalog home page.  Normally we choose the created record, but in a few instances, which are specific to particular record producers, we redirect back to the catalog home page.  The issue is that the catalog home page SHOULD be the home page setup in the Portal definition.  But in portal redirects, instead the redirect is hard-coded to go to the old/outdated homepage which we are not using.  I was told by SN that I should submit an idea to change this.  I was perturbed because this is an obvious defect or something missed in design, since if the portal has a catalog home page, then all redirects to the home page should go to the defined home page.  But I submitted an idea anyway.
