How do you translate custom error messages that pop up on the employee center?

Hi,
We have a custom catalog client script, where based on the selection of a specific option in a variable on a record producer, it will display an error message at the top of the employee center, for e.g. see screenshot.
Currently we have the error message in English, how and where can we add the necessary translation, so when a user who logs in for e.g. in French, they see the French translation of this?

for French user, the language should be French right?
is the German plugin installed in the system?

and tested with a German user too

@JHughes62 Here are the steps to translate the messages.
1. Navigate to System UI>> Messages Module.
2. You will be taken to the following list. Search for your record using message value or key
3. Select the record.
4. Keep the key as it is, choose the language in which you translate the message, put the translation in message field and at last click on Insert and Stay (This will make a copy of your existing record with the translated message in the chosen language.)
