Is there a way to add Additional Details from the approval item to the My To-dos widget (HRM Todos Summary)

Hi,

I am currently looking into "My To-dos"  and would like to gather more information from the requested item/approval item when it comes to "Approve Request". In below picture, Widget (HRM Todos Summary).

I would either have a new section with answered questions from the order, or a New tab such as in the Widget (Standard Ticket Header) which has a tab "Additional Details", see below.

Desired outcome would then be something like this:

In short we would like necessery approval information to be available first hand in the My To-dos section instead of forcing the approver to click the link to the item ordered, to avoid the extra step.

I think that's right. It is the only default behaviour for RITM, for other requests like HR, facilities variables won't populate as widgets differ as per config and mapping. To-do list useful for managers (from an approving perspective) if they don't have any role. I would suggest keeping existing IT approval in the backend and only end-user manager to approve from to-do. Also, for other items you can map variables in the description instead of the first modifying the widget for non -RITM request approval.

I would like to do this for Change Requests. Could you provide more information on how to do that if possible?

Thanks for the information.

I notice this works when the approval is per RITM basis (i.e. being able to show display the Requested for and other information).

 

However, we have a case where the approver needs to approve an order guide. The "Requested for" etc. information was filled in on the "Describe Needs" page. But in the approval request record, only the individual RITM variables are displayed so the approver can't see whom this form is requested for and the related dates etc. information.

 

How can we add the information from the order guide/describe needs page to the approval widget?
