Modifying the popular topic widget icons?

I'm trying to figure out how to change the default image for a topic in the Popular Topics widget on the main home screen.  I have gone into the Topic Taxonomy menu and the child topics are displaying the updated icon, however the main parent topics are not - see attached image.

Does anyone know how to update those icons?

Hi @jdonily ,

To modify the icon, all you need to do is go to the Topics table (topic.list), open the topic you would like to modify, and change the image for the icon. For me, after modifying it, I had to log out and log in to see the modifications.

Another point to notice is that if within the Topic record the Icon is empty, ootb the system will use the Default Icon .
To verify the default Icon you can navigate to Content Taxonomy > Topic Configuration, and open the record that the name is : topic_default_icon.png . If you would like another image to be your default icon you can make the changes to this record.

If that helps, please mark my answer as correct / helpful 🙂

And if there is something more that I can help you with, please let me know !

Cheers

Thank you - if you look at the screenshots I posted, I already went into the topic and changed the image for the icon. There is no empty content for these pages.

I want the icon for each of those pages to be different - if I change that icon that you suggested, it changes all of the remaining ones to the same image.

The topics I am trying to update the icon for are parent topics.

I am having the same issue.  The icons on the topic pages are different, however in my Popular topics widget they are all the same.

I am having the same issue.  the popular topics widget is showing the same icon for all even though the actual page has a different one.
