Permission issues with AI search in the employee service portal

Hi,

 

I am wondering how the "searching" (AI search) is working in the Employee Service Portal.

 

Last week, we released several catalog items. These catalog items have to be visible for all the users of the company, including those with only the role "snc_internal". For this reason, the user criteria was configured for this purpose.

 

Until this point, everything is fine.  A user with only this role is able to see the catalog item using the link and the menu. However, if he tries to find the catalog item using the search field, there are no results. But if I impersonate as another user with more roles, then, the search field works and show results. 

 

It's pretty clear that this is a permissions issue but I cannot give more roles to the roles. Could someone explain how the search field works? We are using Xanadu release.
