Scopes in Employee Center Migration

Hello,

I am working on a requirement of migrating ESS portal to EC portal,

Update sets and application scope: I noticed there are employee center, employee center core, employee experience taxonomy and employee experience foundation application scopes. Is it necessary to make separate update sets for each scope.

And also we connected catalog item/knowledge article/quick link to taxonomy in the employee experience taxonomy, but we are getting errors while retrieving the update sets in the target instance. Below is the reference which I tried in my PDI.

in which update set scope/application scope we can connect content to taxonomy, and also please let me know in which scope we can edit the EC portal widgets in homepage in page designer.

Thanks in advance

Yes, whenever capturing updates in any scope in an update set, you need to have that update set in whatever scope the items you are trying to change are in. Normally after you have captured all relevant updates in their appropriate scopes, you would make a global update set and batch all your other scope update sets under your global one. Your errors are all related to scope. Here is another community article that also has some info regarding this.
