Targets & calculation of progress against associated metrics

Hello,

I was looking to prove that targets can be associated against Metrics (as opposed to Metric Definitions) and ensure that the calculation of that target would work.

I've set up a Metric with the daily frequency and associated a target with it (also with a daily frequency).  I was not able to find the Scheduled Job or flow that would perform this calculation. To prove it would work, I was hoping for the automated job (whatever it is) to have done the calculation overnight but this never occurred.

Can someone please advise what job/flow etc performs the calculation for targets and their progress and what the preconditions are on the Metric Definition/Target/Goal/Metric Data are to get it to trigger? It's possible I've set something up wrong as I was not able to find documentation around the configuration of Targets.

See below for an overview of what I have set up so far. I hope it's enough to go on. If I knew the mechanism by which the target progress is calculated, I should be able to figure out if I have misconfigured anything, so that's the main thing i need assistance with.

I'm not sure if I missed this previously or it was fixed as a result of a recent patch but it seems there is a UI Action on the Target record within ESG. Using this UI Action sets the "Source for target" (document) field on the Target record, which is what I couldn't find amechanism to set previously.

This seems to immediately update the "Actuals to date" and "Progress" for the Target record. I still don't know what scripts drive this as there is no obvious Business Rule I could find on a quick search but since the update occurs immediately I don't need to know any more for testing/configuration of Targets
