I want non ITIL users to have the same access as the ITIL users. Where User is read only but everything else is editable. I have tried a few things but non ITIL users are only read only.

I know it is a long time after posting and after i solved it but i wanted to complete this thread. My complete fix was to create a request and a workflow that automated the process of creating a delegate. Non Itil users could not create the delegate so i made the system do it through a workflow.

Hi Michael,
Can you please elaborate your Query. Is it that you want your non-roled users to have the same level of Delegate access as your ITIL users?

- Yes. Itil has the excact acces that i would like my non role users to the delegate table.
The only thing i can do is take read access from non role, and take read/write from itil.
Every attempt to give write access to non role had no luck.
Not sure whats going on.
Thank you very much for your response.

Hi Michael,
On an OOB Delegates table, there is a Write ACL:-
Delegate.User
The role to perform the action is approval_admin.
Remove the role from the ACL.
Also ensure that the Non-Roled users have access to Approve/Reject records on the sysapproval_approver table.
Also, add the Delegate Related List to the Self-Service View of the User form on the My Profile module.
Let me know how it goes.

removing that role does not get me what i am looking for. i would like to keep that there because that only looks at the user field. So itil and non role users will only be able to edit the delegates for themselves.
I looked at the sysapproval_approvers table and everything looks oob. Not sure what i would do or why.
the delegated related list is there and working.
The last thing i need it non role users to be able to edit every field except user field just like ITIL
thank you again for your response!!!
