We intend to utilize the smart assessment feature and have activated the necessary applications. However, after creating a smart assessment, it fails to appear in the “Attestation” field of the Control “Attestation” section. When I update the “Attestation method” in the control from classic attestation to attestation, the legacy “Attestation” field disappears.
Therefore, do we need to add a new “Attestation(smart_attestation)” field to the Controls form view?
Additionally, do we need to request our IRM stakeholders to update the attestation method for each control to leverage the smart assessment feature? Isn’t this unreasonable from Servicenow?

@Sree Gorantla1 if the new "Attestation(smart_attestation)" field is not coming on OOTB you may have to add it manually but normally after you have migrated it should be added to the form.
For the process of update all the controls to the new attestations, the intended design is to update the appropriate control objectives to the new attestations you have designed. This can also be done in bulk via fix script to update all controls/control objectives in one go but you will have to make that script yourself.

Thanks for you reply! The new attestation field is read-only on the classic UI. Is it expected that our stakeholders will be forced to use the Compliance workspace if they want to leverage Assessments created via Smart assessments?

@Sree Gorantla1 smart assessment is only available in the workspace, you cant complete a smart assessment in the classic UI
