Hi All,
I am unable to create Issue marked as Parent or Is grouped (Checked) in GRC Issue Management. I know when an attestation fails, it creates 2 different issues - one as parent and one as child based on some setup of Issue Group by Rule. But is there no way to create a parent issue or mark an issue as parent. I thought just attaching any issue in Parent field will mark the issue as Parent.
Any help on this is appreciated.
Thank you

Hi @Gary45 ,
You cannot mark a issue as "Parent" just by selecting any checkbox/field in the issue record. Also, attaching any issue in Parent field won't mark the issue as Parent.
You will have to take the route of using Issue Group Rule!!
Two issues are created one is set as Parent of another issue when Issue group rule field on associated Control Objective is populated
"Auto group issue based on rule" Business rule runs on created issue and creates a new Issue and adds it as parent to the earlier created issue
The Issue group rule is used to group similar issues together into a parent issue based on the conditions defined in the rule. This rule enables you to work on similar issues simultaneously and close out the parent issue after all issues are resolved. This closes out all the child issues.
The rule only applies to policy statement (control objective) and risk statement today. But you can group audit issues manually, by going to the issues list, and selecting few issues, and clicking on 'Group' list UI action. It will open up a pop up which will help you group those issues. It will also provide you capability to add issues to existing groups. Manual issue grouping works for all issues (compliance/risk/audit).
