Hi Community,
The user has reported the issue as follows:
1. This PC was attempted to be built using Factory Autopilot.
As you can see, the AMDB CI name was changed to a different name. We suspect this issue occurred because the build proceeded without deleting the AD before the build.
We need to determine whether this issue is due to the existing AD entry or another cause.
2. Recently, for Factory Autopilot PCs, the hostname is correctly changed to the CI Name upon initial login after a build is complete.
The CI Name appears to be retrieved from a field in the CMDB, and AMDB is updated based on the PC's hostname.
However, this time, I suspect the PC failed to retrieve the hostname from the CMDB, resulting in an incorrect hostname. AMDB then populated the CI field based on that hostname. (This is just my guess.)
Furthermore, I suspect that the PC information generated during a previous build still exists in Active Directory, potentially causing duplicates and preventing the PC from receiving the correct hostname.
Could you please check the above issue and let me know how to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks & Regards,
Srinivasu
