Asset Recovery

Does anyone know where I can find documentation or information around the backend workflow for the 'Hardware Status' objects (Installed, In Maintenance, In Stock, etc.)? This would be part of the OOTB workflow for Employee Off-boarding or Asset Reclamation.

Hi @kmcquist , 

There is no Workflow or flow behind the hardware status in CI. This field will be updated by the Discovery source such as ServiceNow Discovery, Intune etc. Can you please explain it little clear?

There are several ways by which the asset states are maintained. and there is not a single flow or process which maintains or controls these states. There are several cmdb operations based on flow, integrations and device onboarding will decide the status of the asset. 

 

based on the assets and type their states can be controlled via process workflow and logics..
