Hello,

I need to add a Service Agreement applicable to Laptops as a procurement item.

Is it doable? If yes, what should be the model and model category for the same?

Hello @rajmasurkar ,

Yes, it is possible to add a Service Agreement as a procurement item for Laptops in ServiceNow.

To do so, you can create a new model record with the appropriate details for the service agreement. The model category would depend on your organization's needs and classification structure. You could potentially use an existing category such as "Software" or create a new one specifically for service agreements.

Once you have created the model record, you can then add it as a procurement item by creating a new catalog item and associating it with the model.

When users request laptops through the ServiceNow catalog, they will be able to select the Service Agreement as an optional or mandatory component of their request.

Thanks

Hello Amarjeet,

Thanks for your reply.

I have already tried this approach. I should have mentioned this earlier.

There is another product model Service Contract. Can this be used anyhow? If not, how this model can be used?

Yes, you could potentially use the Service Contract model in ServiceNow to represent a service agreement for laptops.

To do so, you would need to create a new Service Contract record with the appropriate details for the agreement, such as the start and end dates, the terms of service, and any other relevant information.

Once you have created the Service Contract record, you can then add it as a procurement item by creating a new catalog item and associating it with the Service Contract model.

I am confused here.

If we create a Service Contract model, how can we create a Procurement Item from it as there is no Related Link 'Publish to hardware/software catalog in the model.

And, How can we add a procurement item by creating a new catalog item and associating it with a product model?

Can you please throw some light on this?
