We just launched SN and the hardware assets seem to be a mess. Is there a way to have parent models?
For example our laptops Lenovo ThinkPad T14 have 5 to 10 models for the same line. And looking at them it's a mess. I have been working in the asset workspace so not sure if the old view is better but I couldn't see a way there though either.
Just thinking of a way to make it cleaner looking.

Hi jmon,
seems that the PRO version has a feature to normalize models (looking for naming convention and suggesting).
However, I am trying to find a way to make this normalization manually (maybe using AI), because our environment also contains many duplicated models, or even models with different names that are the same at the end.
What I can suggest for now is, if you have many cases like this, create one automation to change them massively (like a Service Request Catalog), where you specify one model, and the "target" model, where all assets from previous model will be changed to the new one (and then, you can retire the old model, with no assets on it).

use Normalization feature, you can consolidate all the similar models with the help of model number, the naming (display name) will also be uniform once you use the product model number to normalize

Thanks @Paulo Andrielli and @Abhishek Varma, I will see if we can do this. Sadly I am not the administrator of the environment so I will look into this feature if I can find anything online.
