Hi @karthikravi
there are several reasons for this:
1. Check User Roles and Permissions:
- Ensure that your current user has the appropriate roles needed to modify and create scripts in templates. Typically, roles like admin or templatedit are required.
2. Investigate System Properties:
- ServiceNow has system properties that control the use of scripts within the platform. Ensure that the properties allow scripting within templates.
- Navigate to System Properties > All Properties and search for relevant properties that might affect scripting in templates.
3. Review Client-Script Permissions:
- Ensure the permissions for creating client scripts are correct. Users might need specific permissions to create or edit scripts.
4. Check Template Type and Configuration:
- Verify that the template being used is of the correct type and configured to allow scripting. Not all template types in ServiceNow may support scripting depending on their configurations.
5. Template Management:
- Navigate to System Definition > Templates and ensure the template being used is configured properly.
- Review the Template Management application to ensure there are no specific restrictions in place.
