How to catch/record Translations Requests in a updateset

Hi,

Has anyone used the Localization Framework used with translations of Service Catalog Items?

I hoped I could give some translators access to our Development environment, and do some translations there.
Next I, as a admin, would Approve the translations.

I hoped those translation would be recorded in an Update Set.

But it seems every translation is written down in Default (Global) Update Set.
I even tested with the Translator who has access to the Update Set and using the LFTASK to translate.
Even than the translations are not recorded in the translation Update Set but in Global.

I was very surprised that i cannot be used in combination with updatesets.
Do I really need to do the translation on Production environment?

Or should in go to Local Changes and add every changes made manual into another Update Set?

Anyone advise on this?

@Frans Brus - NorthC,

You are indeed correct, that is the behaviour currently, however it is something we are looking to change in a future release if the translations are to be performed in a sub-prod instance,

It is however possible to identify the translations based on what I talk about in my blog post here should you wish to change what update-set the translations reside in for easier instance migration,

Many thanks,
Kind regards

Hi

did you create an individual update set and did you make that update set to the current update set?

Kind regards
Maik

Yes the translator is is the "translation update set".

Also when I Verify the translation I also am in the "translation update set".

This is shown under Local Changes

Hi @Alex Coope - SN ,

Is there any news about this in the recent versions? I mean, is there any way to automate the promotion to other instances of the resulting translations in the localization framework? Otherwise, I think it is better to use it directly in PRO.
