Is there a way to export data collected during discovery to a file, .csv, .xml, .txt, .xlsx, so our customer can view what all data has been discovered?

if it is on a list view it can be exported.... However there are so many tables in discovery you may have to piecemail the export. But fundamentally all you do on a list is right click between column names - export and then pick they type of file to export to. Also your list view columns will be the only ones exported with this method so make sure to show the columns you want to export. If the customers need access and are ServiceNow users you may need to provision their access because one export will lead to many more and that wont be efficient unless the export you ask about is a one time informational thing just showing them what ServiceNow discovery is capable of.

The way reports are pulled for ITSM you can pull reports for discovered data also by using their Parent or Child table class - Depending on your requirement.
You can also use discovery dashboard for summarized data and reports.
It looks like this

Hi,
Couple of things to mention here to achieve what you are looking for:
1) When Discovery gets completed, in Configuration item table there is a field named as "Discovery Source" which gets filled in and created by must be a Mid Server Service Account.
So you can build a report as below and have it Scheduled automatically to send a report of these devices being discovered by Discovery . This will help you eliminate manual need to export data in Excel every time and send it to the recipient.
Please follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to "Create New" module under Report as shown below:
2) Create a Report on Configuration Item Table with Report Type as List and put below filter conditions as shown below:
Final Report will look like below. Mid Server account name will be the Service Account with which you are using your mid Server present in User table like for example "prod.mid" OR "dev.mid"
Now Navigate to Scheduled Report Module as shown below:
Click on New button and Select the Report you have created in steps before and you can also choose the Format in which you want to send like below:
Excel or PDF
Also Frequency can be selected like when you want to send along with Some custom message in Subject and body as shown in screenshot below:
Hope this helps. Please mark the answer as correct/helpful based on impact.

I would encourage you to follow this approach as it will help you to eliminate manual extract of Report every time and will be automated as well.
Please let me know if you have a query on this.
