What is difference between fix forward and a restore?

I will be installing the High security plug-in + update a few hundred custom ACL.  It was suggested as a back out plan to do a fix forward instead of a restore?  what's the difference.  How does one prepare for a smooth 'fix forward'?  Thanks

Catalog client scripts to populate logged in user

Requirement is to populate logged in user name. Wrote client script of onload function just to populate logged in user alert('welcome'); var us = g_user.userID; g_form.setValue('caller_id',us); even alert is not getting populated Any suggestions

How to display incident information on critical incident map?

Hello, expert. I would like to use the critical incident map, but when I register an incident with a priority of 1 - critical, it does not show up in the map. What information does the critical incident map use to identify the location?
