Cleaning up Dashboards - need help (delete a dashboard group)

We have built up a mess of dashboards (180 of them).  And people can see too many dashboards (e.g. like many of the system MID dashboards, or a bunch of CMDB dashboards they don't need, or test dashboards someone created).  It makes the system messy for them, as we want to focus them on a small number of effective dashboards.

#1 Dashboard Groups -- I wanted to start this cleanup by reducing the number of Dashboard groups.  Some people have created test or one off groups, so I want to remove those and consolidate dashboards cleanly.  We also have a large number of dashboards not in any group (empty).

Where in the system do you go to simply delete a dashboard group (that has no dashboards in it any longer)?

UPDATE:  I found the table pa_dashboards_group.list, which I think will let me see all of the groups, and delete them.

I am now trying to figure out the best way to figure out which dashboards are never used to reduce the number.  And also, its weird how I have a litter of dashboards from over the years.   It is hard to know what is OOB or that I should keep or not (or what dashboards I might be missing that could be useful).

Hi @jfranche ,

Please utilize the work created by Adam Stout described here: https://www.servicenow.com/community/performance-analytics-blog/tracking-and-reporting-on-dashboard-...

This will give you the overview of which dashboards are utilized and which are not over time.

Thanks guys.   I am always shocked how much work has to be done to figure out simple things in ServiceNow.   I just want to maintain good hygiene of reports and dashboards.   I have heard many companies complain about the same thing, and a whole session at the conference had to be created where someone had to create a ton of custom panels and scripts.

We don't have a team of ServiceNow developers.

All that said, I appreciate the direction, and we may try some of the above.   I guess I was hoping for something a bit more simple.
