Practices - BUSINESS SERVICE CATALOGUE

Hi all,

I am tasked to design a BUSINESS SERVICE CATALOGUE  for our organization and I find it very challenging because the foundation for BSC currently doesn't exist at all and I got stuck from where I should start. What we have now is TSC (technical Service Catalogue) with 1010 live Catalog Items.

I am thinking about Service Portfolio management Plugin which I installed it but couldn't understand how to design BSC on it?

My questions are:

  • What are best practices for BSC?
  • How do/did you guys manage to design BSC in your team?
  • Is there any documentation you can share about this? (I am aware of Intellectual property & privacy, but I mean an non-restricted documents from open sources if you have any). 

I was also thinking to use Knowledge Base as an alternative solution, but for me BSC is very crucial & customer facing so the design should be at high level this is why I am looking for a BSC world class design.

Any comments, links, documentations is highly appreciated.
