Providing permission to create tasks

I have a team member who is a fulfiller in an ITIL role. He manages a group that is responsible for configuring the QA environment for one of our products. He requested a catalog item. Part of the requirements is that he needs to be able to create additional tasks on the request item for other groups (our infrastructure team), when he needs server, network, or database resources.

I cannot locate the role that allows this access. I did a search on Community and Google and can find nothing. I looked at ACLs and saw nothing that I could work with either.

Has anyone come across this, and can you help set me on the right path?

I accomplished this bon V3 by ...

Service Catalog – Open Records – Tasks

Accessing the menu and choosing Configure

Then choosing Security Rules

Then sorting on Name SC_TASK and Operation CREATE

Then adding the ROLE to that ACL.

Hello MikeyVegas,

In a base system, catalog_admin has the role to create Catalog Task. Please check the ACL's on catalog task table in your instance.

I marked yours as helpful, as it was, however we are going a different direction based on a recommendation from one of our partners. Thank you.
