I am looking for recommendations of a tool that will allow me to create an incident or request in ServiceNow based on an issue/task/subtask in Jira. I have been looking online and seen many tools that will create a Jira issue when a ServiceNow issue is created. I want to be able to do the reverse and also keep the comments in sync. When an ITIL user in ServiceNow adds a comment, I want to see in Jira (and vice-versa).
The only tool I found that went Jira to ServiceNow was workato. Does anyone have experience with it or another tool? Approximate pricing would be appreciate since my budget is very limited.
Thanks
Glenn

Hello Glenn,
You don't need any tool separately. Using REST api in servicenow and webhook in JIRA you can establish the two way communication between servicenow and JIRA.
Both the feature REST API and Webhook are the feature of tool Servicenow and JIRA respectively so, this will not involve any separate cost.
Please hit Like/helpful if this helps you in understanding and hit Correct if this solves your issue.

You can take johnandersen's POC and modify for your needs: http://www.john-james-andersen.com/blog/service-now/rest-based-servicenow-jira-integration-poc.html
On Share: ServiceNow Share
You would just need to modify the creation process coding and set up webhooks for your certain JIRA conditions. I used this to build an integration, which has SN pushing from Problem records and creating in different projects in JIRA based on selected CI in ServiceNow, but has 2-way comment and worknote syncing. It took me about 4-5 days to customize to our needs, as the POC gives you a good baseline, but you need to know ServiceNow's REST API environment and other elements fairly well to complete this. JIRA has a nicely documented API which helps a ton: Jira Cloud REST API

Erik, Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately we do not have the coding experience here so we were looking for a tool to purchase.
