View of the OOB User Portal

Hi

I have tried to look for the view of the OOB User Portal front and backend view (where all the cat items are)

So that I can see how it compares to the ones we currently have

Looking to see a view of one with widgets that users click on and then instead of lists shows pictures

We are on Yokohama

Ours has been customised quite a bit and we are looking to strip it back to OOB, but I cant find any pictures just alot of information

Hi

This is what our Request Cat looks like

The feedback from our end users is, it is not user friendly, on the Categories when you select a cat item it opens up and then you have another list of things, I know you can change the view to boxes.

But a lot of our users have said it would be easier to find if the Categories, where Pictures and then they know where to go and to select when it opens up - it like how it looks on the first page of the portal

Hi @michelle kirk

Thanks for sharing the details.

When you mention the backend view, it's not actually a backend view—it's the catalog homepage. This is where users can see all available categories and items, and it is designed to function this way.

The front page, on the other hand, is the homepage where we have widgets displaying a limited selection of frequently used items. This is intentional and aligns with the design.

To better understand, consider an e-commerce website. When you open the homepage, you see only the most important, relevant, and frequently used items. However, when you click on a specific catalog, such as clothing or electronics, you see the full list of categories and items.

The same concept applies here. You can educate users accordingly.
