Hi all,
do you need how to show the Agent Mobile app Interface on desktop?
I always used to just add $m.do to my instance link but this works for the Classic Mobile app. In this way we can test and use the mobile app directly to the desktop.
Is there the same method available also for the new Agent Mobile app?
Thanks for your help 🙂
Cheers
Alberto

The new mobile agent uses a completely different architecture.
The classic mobile app is HTML5. ServiceNow provides an installable "app", but it is nothing more than a customized browser. You can run ServiceNow classic mobile without installing the "app". It will run in the native browser on your phone or tablet, or in a desktop browser that can emulate the browser on a phone or tablet.
The new mobile agent is a native app for iOS or Android. It does not use HTML and it does not run in a browser. The only way to run it on a desktop machine would be to run it inside an iOS or Android IDE.
Hope this helps.
Giles

I agree. The lack of a desktop interface is very problematic for testing. There is no impersonation functionality in the mobile agent, so it is difficult to test how the app appears and behaves for users with different roles.

Does anyone know if there is a good iPhone emulator for Windows that is free. We are trying to find something both for development as well as training. We would like to do a live training session for this that would let you see when someone is swiping or tapping on items in the Mobile App.

I use Reflector 3 by AirSquirrels.com.
It is not an emulator. It allows you to project your iPhone or Android screen onto your laptop monitor. It is not useful for development. However, it works great for training and presentations.
It is not free, but it is pretty inexpensive.
I use the Mac version, not the Windows version. I do not know how well the Windows version would work with an iPhone. You could get a free evaluation copy and try it out for 7 days.

hi Alberto and others, you can use AirBeam to mirror your Iphone on your Windows laptop. It's not an emulator, but more a mirror/simulator of your Iphone and it's completely free. So, the control is still on your iphone while it's been mirrored on your Windows laptop within Chrome. Note that only Chrome is supported. It's one of the most easiest ways of having your Iphone on your Windows laptop for demonstration sessions and it's completely free. With below URL a QR code is shown to install it on your Iphone first. Within 5 minutes I had it working.

Please mark helpfull or mark correct when it does 🙂
