A team member chose the wrong record in the "Evidence For" field which was caught during the review.
How can it be changed without needing to create a new Evidence Collection Detail?

Hi @Mehernosh Amrol ,
The "Evidence For" field is read-only, once you Submit the record and you can just preview the selected record from the field.
So unfortunately , either you will have to create a New ECD record or Delete this Record .:
Note: If you are deleting the ECD record for which you have already clicked "Request Evidence", the Evidence task will not be deleted automatically.
