Regarding AI Agent Long-Term Memory Categories

What criteria should be used to set AI Agent long-term memory categories?
My understanding is as follows:

For example,
if I want the AI Agent I create to retain incident history in its long-term memory, should I create and set a category named “Incident History”?

 

Is that correct?

 

Secondly,
if no long-term memory category is set, does that mean nothing will be remembered?

You could try that, but I think you'd be better off re-querying for the relevant Incident history the next time the AI agent runs. Our long-term memory today is largely based on user specifics and preferences, but we'll expand this as time goes on.
