Hi,
I’m trying to calculate the average number of incidents we have across each hour in a day, over the last 12 months.
So far, I've managed to create a column graph that shows the TOTAL number of incidents we've for each hourly time period across the 12 months, with count of incidents as the Y axis and the X axis buckets are the hour the incident arrived in (from 0 to 23).
To do this I’ve selected a Column Time Series graph. I haven’t set grouping. I trended by Created using Standard Calendar per Hour. Aggregation is Count.
What I need though is the average for each hour time period rather than the count.
If I select Aggregation of “Average” it makes me select which field I am averaging on (e.g. business duration), so this doesn’t work. I need the average across the time period (e.g. so each value in Y would be divided by the number of days in the time period).
I have no idea how to do this within one report, your help is very much appreciated!
It would be really helpful if you could also please specify which ServiceNow roles are required to accomplish your solution. I do not have general administrator role, but I have several roles related to PA and Reports.
Kind Regards and Thanks,
Janelle

Thank you, it's definitely on topic but I wasn't able to get an average using the "Count Distinct" option suggested in that thread. Perhaps the Performance Analytics option will work - unfortunately I don't have access to that at the moment. For now it's exporting the info and using Excel. Thanks anyway
Cheers,
Janelle
