Formula to Calculate Average Incidents opened per day, week, month and quarter?

Need help with below Performance Analytics issue - 

What formula should i use in formula indicator to calculate Average incidents opened per day, week, month and quarter?

Within the report creation wizard there are options to filter incidents created in last week, last month etc. which can be used.

But i want to calculate average. That will not give me average. I want average incident opened per day, average incident opened per week, average incident opened per month and average incident opened per quarter. For that i am using performance analytics and in that i am using formula indicator but i am not understanding what formula should i use

You don't need to create formula indicator.

Just create simple automated indicator - number of incidents created  (daily) 

After that create widget for example score one and add this indicator. 

You can create several widgets for week, month, quarter with different time series.
