Performance Analytics Dashboard

Hi Friends,

I'm seeking guidance on the order of configuring components to build a performance analytics dashboard widget. Could you please advise on the sequential steps for the following items:
Indicators
Indicator Sources
Breakdown Sources
Jobs
Widgets, etc.
What should I prioritize as the initial step in constructing a report within the performance analytics framework?

2. Indicators

3. Breakdown (if needed)

4. Widgets
5. Jobs (To check the numbers on the widget)

Hi @Ballela Siva Te ,

Please find the order below:

  1. indicator source
  2. automated indicator
  3. Breakdown source (if automated breakdown is needed)
  4. Automated breakdown (if needed)
  5. jobs
  6. Formula indicator (if needed)
  7. Widgets

Above is just the basic, as there is much more configuration that can be done along the way.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as accepted solution and give a thumb up.

best regards

I would take a slightly different approach:

  1. Take the Performance Analytics Essentials training . This is a free training. Performance Analytics is not just another kind of report or something you can just pick up. You need to know what you are doing or you can and will make an absolute mess. Once you start collecting data, you cannot fix your mess without losing all data continuity.
  2. Once you understand the basics, plan your Performance Analytics strategy. You cannot just create ad hoc widgets and put them on a dashboard like you would with reports, because you need data collection jobs and those need to be timed correctly, and you need an efficient hierarchy of indicator sources > indicators and breakdown sources > breakdowns. Performance Analytics is resource-intensive. We provide KPI Composer to help you plan your solution.
  3. Check existing prepackaged Analytics Solutions for your business area, as these can save you a lot of work.
  4. If you still need to develop additional resources, the order is as Anders said.
