Hi experts,
When I create a report while using List as the report type, the table cells of the data rows are shifted to the right (as shown below).
While looking into the HTML structure of the list, I found that it was because the colspan="2" attribute in the first <td> html element of the tbody created an unwanted column.
Is there any workaround or solution to this problem please?
Steps to reproduce:
- Go to the page Create a report
- In the Data section, choose any table
- In the Type section, choose List
- In the Configure section, choose any column in Group by field
Tom.

Hi - This is a known issue
Description
Column data and headers aren't aligned when expanding 'Group by' in list report and list view
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a new list report based on any appropriate table, ie, incident.
2. Group by an appropriate field, ie. Priority.
3. Run the report.
Expected behaviour: The columns of data should align with the report column headers.
Actual behaviour: The columns of data are all shifted to the right such that they align with the next header.
Workaround
This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In section to determine the latest version with a permanent fix your instance can be upgraded to.

I just myself experienced this. Only happening when the list is grouped. Happens on all tables. @Ts_n, did you just notice this happening?

Yes, it happens when the group by is set on the list. I am not sure if this is a new issue or not because I am very new to ServiceNow.
