What Role(s) does an ITIL user need to be able to Edit and Publish reports?

I am trying to give a few trusted teammates that ability to edit and publish reports within our instance. What Role do I need to give them? They have the ITIL role already.

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/helsinki-performance-analytics-and-reporting/page/use/reporting/reference/r_ReportRoles.html

The ITIL Role can create reports and view reports that have been shared with them. Cannot share reports, edit, or delete reports that have been shared with them.

The Report Publisher can Publish reports that they can manage. Publishing a report creates public a link to that report. Users with this role must also have another role that grants permission to create and edit reports.

Since the ITIL Role "Cannot share reports, edit, or delete reports" what additional Role must I give them to allow them to create/edit/publish reports?

Hi, please see this link for a full explanation:

https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/kingston-performance-analytics-and-reporting/page/use/reporting/t...

essentially they need their ITIL and then this: report_publisher

Just publisher, not report admin, etc.

which version are you on? This changes with Jakarta. In Jakarta, all ITIL users can create and share reports and dashboards.

Much appreciated Tracy

Please try to assign 'report_global' or 'report_admin' role and they must be able to edit or delete reports.

However please understand the significance of report_admin role and then assign to the actual needy users. It is the highest privileged access on all the reports in the instance and the user with this role can play with any type of reports or whose ever reports.

Please hit correct based on impact of response.

Thanks!
