ServiceNow SAM Pro offers support to find and rectify these issues through 2 broad ways i..e. SAM Health check and Installs requiring action. Lets understand both these functionalities in detail.

 

  1. SAM Health check: Documentation  

 

SAM Health check is a ServiceNow store application that provides best practice checks that find out issues in your environment. These checks are tailored to overall and specific software licensing requirements, so that you can just run these checks, determine issues and thereby create take steps or create tasks to resolve the same.  

 

The checks are constantly reviewed and updated by the Service Now product team so that the latest checks can be made available to the SAM Teams.

2. Installs requiring action:  Shown on License usage analysis it lists the main issues with installs and provides advise on how to resolve the same

ServiceNow SAM Pro provides a reason and clear recommendation to resolve (Act) the issue with your software installs. To determine which all installs requiring action are found in ServiceNow SAM Pro. Please refer this Installs requiring action issues and details

 

Both the health issues and the installs with action are available on the License usage analysis for better accessibility
