Hi,
Think also about the use of the Warrenty information. Registration is great but use this in operational processes is important.
Use-case: I want to have Incidents on hardware under warrenty solved by the vendor providing the warrenty service on that hardware.
In this case a check should be done on warrenty=true and if so what is the assignment group responsible to solve the Incident. If not what is the assignment group dealing with 'out of warrenty' Incidents or what is the way to go with out_of_warrenty incidents as very often that hardware is replaced.
Taking also this into consideration helps (I hope) in creating the best-fit solution.
Hope this helps,
Ed

When you go to the Hardware asset - just click on the contract tab and you will see the field. No need to configure your form to see it on the header.

Hi,
Warranty Expiration is based on asset and not on model.
There can be a new asset with same model with new warranty date.
If you got answer please mark answer correct.
Thanks,
Ashutosh

Who said anything about a model? OOB Hardware Asset is available on the menu item which will take you to the alm_hardware table. If you click on the contract tab, the warranty field is already exposed.
