Empty Discovery Models are Created

Hi,

When i am running SCCM to get Software installations some empty discovery models are created.  I have observed there is a business rule named Create a Software Normalization is running to create Discovery model. But when i run the same business rule once again for a record from BG script, Discovery model is getting created.

what might be the reason for this and mainly how to resolve the issue??

Hello Sahity,

The BR is a "before" BR.  Is it possible the Software Installation being inserted, which triggered the BR failed to be inserted therefore causing the empty Discovery Model?  

Just brainstorming with you here.  It's hard to troubleshoot without seeing the instance.  You've certainly described abnormal behavior.  If it persists would you please open an incident with the ServiceNow HI Customer Support team?

The software installation is being created and its referring to empty discovery model.

You should open an Incident with our HI support and see if they can root cause this for you.  I'd like to track this, would you email me the Incident Number?  daniel.slocum@servicenow.com
