We are looking for the best way to grant access to SAM license position, license dashboard, entitlement and SW contract data via classic views and within SAM Workspace but with READ ONLY permissions only. This should not restrict existing access to other modules they use in the SN platform. Can 'snc_read_only' be used to only restrict SAM Pro and not all of their existing access?
A stretch goal would be to enable application owners to only be able to view the publishers of which they are set as the owner in the SW Models table.
Could not find a helpful article on this anywhere.

We have the same issue in our environment and have looked at how to do this. There does not appear to be an easy way. We are creating a Power BI dashboard to fill this need because the other thing to consider is the fulfiller license required for anyone who may be a product owner and not already using ServiceNow. We are new in our SAM Pro implementation so we do see this restriction also. An external data lake was the best choice for us to keep costs down and allows product owners to use a platform they were already familiar with to access reporting.
Hope that helps. ServiceNow is not planning on a read only role as far as I know.

Hi @BradP-InnoSolv,
this is still not supported by SAMP. OOTB you’re limited to the standard roles (sam user/admin/developer) including their possibilities to read all the data and often able to edit/delete.
Please check the following question about more details in this. https://www.servicenow.com/community/sam-forum/how-to-make-a-workspace-readonly-for-users/m-p/304926...
Best, Dennis
