Service Operations Workspace: Major Incident Management - "Manage Recipients" on Communications Tab

Hi community,

 

Hoping someone can help me understand a specific bit of functionality that is available for Major Incident Management in Service Operations Workspace.

 

There is a Manage recipients button on the Communicate tab of a major incident.

Clicking on the button opens a the following modal window that requires an Audience to be selected:

Can anyone explain what the purpose of an Audience is in this context, and more importantly where these Audiences are configured?

Audience field is used to store the recipient list (User/ Group).
