Hi,
In SAM, The normalization process compares the discovered publisher, discovered product, and discovered version values against the Central Software library.
So where can I see that software library. How does my instance get the updates.
Thanks
Shanks

OOB, we do have some scheduled jobs that run every week to get the data from the central repository and update the data in the above tables. Below are the jobs that run:
As an admin you may not see the names of these scheduled jobs. But you can hover on to the information icon and you can see which job it is referring to like Publisher, Package etc..
Some of related tables are as follows:
- samp_sw_entitlement_definition
- samp_product_map
- samp_content_version
- samp_sw_product_definition
- samp_sw_product
- samp_sw_publisher
- samp_package_map
- samp_sw_product_process
- samp_sw_package
- samp_m2m_suite_entitlement_def
Thanks,

Hi Ggiri,
should I really opt in for content service to have my library updated with latest details.
I know that there are around 1lac records on that library. how can I know if all those are alreadt updated in my instance. If I see PPN field, I get only 8k records.

You have to make sure that you are subscribed to the content library service. Then there is a scheduled job that runs to update that content.

Hi Jeanna,
As far as I understand, its just optional for a user to opt in. Its just to send unnormalized values to servicenow to get back the normalized ones.
Bot those normalized ones which service now is readily having, will be automatically updated without opting in. Do you agree or I am missing something,
