I'm getting a number of unlicensed installs but the software model result and license metric result are empty
The discovery model and DMAPs look good to me. Anyone knows what these are?

ServiceNow will mark installations as an "Unlicensed Install" when there it does not have enough information to reconcile to a software entitlement. For example, for Windows Servers, if the physical host to the VM is not defined, it will not define a software license position. This is because the physical host data is required for the license calculation. This can also occur when you are missing edition data, like SQL Server Enterprise.

There are a variety of reasons for software installations being unlicensed. They include:
- Not enough available entitlement rights
- Software installation cannot be mapped to an entitlement (missing version/edition)
- Suite component cannot be linked to a parent software model that has available entitlement rights
- Missing relationship for on-premise VMs
- Software installed on the CI is deployed on a virtualizaton technology or a public cloud platform that ServiceNow SAM doesn’t support currently.
- Software Install is not fully normalized.
