I have a rule to archive CI's on the hardware table. Then I have a related list to archive the serial numbers related list if the CI is archived based on the criteria. It is not working. The CI is archived but the serial number is not. Everything seems set up right in comparing to the WIKI but no results on the related list archiving. Is there something I'm missing?
I'm doing this in my dev instance instead of the client's until I see it working. Also the two other related list rules aren't working either and am just targeting the serial number table for now.
Any help is appreciated!

Does it have to be the Hardware table, or can you use the Computer (cmdb_ci_computer) table? In testing, I couldn't get the Hardware table to work either, but when I switch to the Computer table, it archives the related serial number.

Thanks Michael. I'll give that a try and report back. Didn't think about trying that.

That seems to have done the trick. So it seems like for the related lists archive rules to work, you can't doing it at a higher level in the table structure, that you have to do it at the table level. I was doing Hardware table so that servers, computers, routers, etc. would all be considered in the rule. I'm going to keep testing it but thanks for your help. I really didn't want to go down the road to have separate archive rules for each CMDB table, but it is important that I can archive the associated CI's as well.
Thoughts?

Hey Michael. So I did do the test against the Windows Server table and it worked as well. The other problem then is I can't setup an archive rule for the Computer table. It disappears from the list. So now I wonder how to get at those that are in the Computer table. Any thoughts? There is a computer table (imp_computer) but not cmdb_ci_computer.

That table should come out of the box. The weird thing is, I have 2 imp_computer, and cmdb_ci_computer.
