Hi everybody
I am hoping to find a clear procedure to remove any transnational data (so Incidents, Problems, Requests, Changes, Tasks...and I'm sure a number of others) from the instance.
For example, when we are about to Go Live, how do I efficiently remove all the demo data AND also any data created in Pre Production Build & UAT,
I thought this would have been a rather fundamental part of the process, but I can't seem to find anything on Communities, wiki or Support.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Darren,
I would suggest to delete the data manually from listed module(im,pm,cm,etc). or you can reach out to servicenow for data cleanup they would assist you in that. Because express edition has very limited scope of such system functionality.

Thanks for your feedback all.
It seems the only option is to go into various list screens... Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Task and select all and delete, select all on next page and delete and so forth.
Whereas this will get the job done, I still have concerns that its a messy solution and will leave a bunch of phoned records in the database (notifications, activity streams, knowledge, sla's and so forth.)

Using the delete all will unfortunately leave orphaned records in some tables.
Unless you identify all the tables that contain parent, child or a relationship of any kind the application doesn't clean up after itself when you delete the primary record.
If you delete all incidents using the delete all, just as one example, the incident tasks remain orphaned. You would then have to go to the incident task table.
Then there are SLAs attached to a record, approvals, any ci impacted, incidents related to callers, and so on .....

You can also use the table cleaner.
