CMDB CI Class for Audio Visual equipment

Hi,
We do have Audio Visual equipment (audio devices, video - TV and controllers). These assets are being managed by IT.
As there is no CI class available in the CMDB, need the community advice to know the table/s to be used for these type of asset/CI.

I would probably have it extend Hardware. That should be the right place for it.

I think the first question you need to ask is "do they need to be in the CMDB?" Not all Assets are CIs, and vice versa. Unless you have a specified Incident/Problem/Change Management requirement for these systems you should leave them in the Asset database.
If you do have a need to do one or more of the above, then I'd suggest checking out Matthew Fearnley's blog posts that are well thought out.
