How can I add a data visualisation to a menu module?

DanaiM

Hello everyone,

I have made a Data Visualisation (Platform Analytics version of a report). I want to link it to a new module in the user menu.

I go on the module > 'link type' tab. In the drop-down there is no option to run a data visualisation.

Is there any way I can add this, or link it in another way?

Thanks

Hi @DanaiM

Step 1: Gather the Data Visualisation URL

  • Navigate to your Visualization  via the Visualization Designer or UI Builder.
  • Copy the full URL

Step 2: Create a New Module

  1. Navigate to System Definition > Application Menus
  2. Select the Application Menu where you want your module to add
  3. Scroll down to the Modules related list and click New.
  4. Fill in the form:
    • Title: Name your module (My Data Visualisation).
    • Order: Assign an integer (e.g., 100) to dictate its position
  5. Under the Link Type tab, select URL (from arguments).
  6. In the Arguments field, paste the specific link or target page.

Install the plugin - Menu editor , then go to the Menu Editor, and you should be able to see it.

Next Experience All Menu Editing
