Danny,
Sorry for the late reply. I must have missed the notification.
Our integration partner put in logic that flips the state from Published to Draft when you edit. We also require a Comment as part of that same process. Once in Draft, we (KM) see the Publish button and can send the KA to Published state from there.
We assign KA ownership to ServiceNow groups. For example, the the Help Desk and Third Level Support might be 2 groups. If the Help Desk author thinks they know something about a KA that we assigned to Third Level Support, they can edit it and click Save. However, since they are not the owner, either Third Level Support or our KM team need to review and approve the change. Hope that clarification makes sense.
We assign this type of ownership on a per KA basis, as they are created.

Hi .. Have you got the solution for the Change the state of Knowledge article from 'Published' to 'Draft' when someone edits the knowledge articles?
