How to populate the Short Description and Approval For on the Knowledge Approval

Hi Guys,

I have been looking into the Community on how to populate the Short Description and Approval for on the  Knowledge Approval and I could not find a good answer.

Could some please share the right way to fix this issue.

In one of the community article, it says:

Approval For is the task record on which approval is generated. But since it is a knowledge record, it is not stored in the Approval for field. It is stored in the Approving field. And approving field is a document id field and not a reference field

You can use document_id field.

Use document_id.short_description it works

But the Short Description is tied into the task table.

Knowledge is not an extension of the task table.

So maybe I should add fields for Short Description and Approval For? Is this the way to go?

Adding short description field to the approval table is needed. But we didn't proceed. We just ask the approvers to use the left navigator - Knowledge -> Submissions - Assigned to me to see the list of the KBs for them to approve.
