Is it possible to share a saved filter?

Hello,

We had a question asked from a user today about sharing her saved filters. Essentially, she doesn't want them to be public (IE visible in left nav), but she wants to be able to share them with a few users in the same application.

Does this functionality exist?

Thanks!

Yes, but only within a group.

Hi Robert,

So my ITIL user has every report role you can think of BUT there are 2 missing radio buttons-  Got ideas?

The following link could be helpful to you.

Create and edit filters

Also, A saved filter allows advanced filtering when you want to highlight spaces, based on conditions not supported by a simple filter.

You can set a filter showing all the printers on a map and share that filter with other users. Private filters can be saved without sharing those filters with others.

Facilities map filter

There's a field on sys_filter that specifies the user (it does not appear by default). If it is blank, it becomes a global filter (out-of-box global filters include Active, Active - Unassigned, etc. for Incidents and similar tables). There are also group and domain fields (again, not appearing by default) that do the same, so that if there's a filter that's useful for a group, they can all have access to it.

The "Edit personal filters" link takes you to a filtered view of the sys_filter table that specifies "User = [current user]". And then when you create a new filter from that view, it automatically applies the current user's name.

Hope this helps,

Adi

Currently fullfillers only have the 'Only Me' option when saving.  How do I allow them the options for Everyone and Group to be chosen?
