Hello,
Today, a user received a notification that a Visual Task Board Lane had exceeded the Lane Limit, even though there are no lane limits in place throughout our entire instance. Researching the notification, I discovered it was triggered on the vtb_card table by a condition "Removed" changes to "False." This was on a guided board. The documentation is clear on Flexible Boards, but we are struggling to identify what user action triggers this "Removed" changes to "False" action on Guided Boards. We can implement a workaround by changing the OOB conditions, but can someone help us understand why the notification would be sent based on the second condition even though no limit is set?
Thanks,
Dustin

The notification 'Lane limit Exceeded' appears in Visual Task Boards when no lane limits are set.
Fixed in New York Patch 3.

This is interesting because we're on NY Patch 4, HF 2 (version glide-newyork-06-26-2019__patch4-hotfix2-12-21-2019_12-24-2019_1137.zip) and are still experiencing this issue. The condition for our notification matches what you've got in your screenshot above. I'll contact HI to see if there is an update we can make.

Hey Susan,
I should have followed up to this thread. We also upgraded to Patch 4 recently, and this issue was not fixed in our instance. We were provided some xml to import, but it did not fix our issue, so we ended up reconfiguring the notifications ourselves.

Hi Dustin,
Were you able to fix this issue? Upgraded to patch 4 and issue happening again.
Could you please share your findings for this or how did you approach the reconfiguration?
Thanks!
Ruben.

Actually, this is what our notification looks like now and we're still getting unwanted emails. I did a bit of digging and it turns out some of the VTB lanes have an empty value for the Lane wip limit. I've set those to -1 and will monitor whether they continue to receive these emails.
The interesting thing is, most of these VTB lanes were created after the NY upgrade. Out of the 15 lanes that have an empty lane limit, only 4 were created before the upgrade. I've got a HI ticket open and will provide them this info.
Thanks for the screenshot of your notification; glad to know we do have the latest version.
