Service Portal is too slow

Hello Everyone,

How is your experience with Service Portal ? We upgraded our Sandbox instance to Helsinki & starts customizing the service portal. But we observed its taking too long time to load, sometimes portals is not navigating the new pages.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

The ServiceNow HI Portal uses the ServicePortal and that doesn't take too long to load or have trouble navigating between pages.

This would suggest an implementation issue.

Is it the SP in general or is it specific pages.

The catalog categories widget can be very slow if you have many categories with many items in them. It can take a long time to render this widget - it helps when you disable the badges and do not check for canView pr item

Hi,

i observed that this is due to carousel that i created. Now i removed that widget & every thing is fine. But I'm not sure how to user OOB carousel in SP. i created a test page & added carousel widget, when i preview nothing showing in preview.

Any help is grateful.
