Update Set no longer capturing updates? KB/Knowledge Articles

I created an update set to store updates related to Knowledge Bases and Knowledge Articles.

I moved some updates from Default Global scope into the update set and also created application files to insert Metadata Snapshots of the individual Knowledge Articles into my update set, which all went through fine by the way.

I completed the update set from Dev and imported it into Test, however the Knowledge Articles were not loading with their respective categories in Test instance.

Since then, I have not been able to recapture general updates or updates using application files for anything KB/KA related into a custom update set.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

knowledge article is data and it' won't be captured in update by default.

You can force all your knowledge articles in update set.

Please follow below to capture knowledge articles in update set.

Hi

I hope your problem was resolved. I update this information to help others.

Knowledgebase does not capture in the update set. You can export your KB as XML and import XML in your target instance.

1. Export KB

2. Import KB

For Knowledge article, you can use easy import feuter for bulk Article import.

Review the attached file for more details.

When I export/import via XML, I end up with duplicate KB articles.  In my dev instance, we have several articles but we have been continuing to add articles in prod as well.

Is there a way to have the import of the XML add the new KB with the next sequence number

Thanks,

Steve

Did you ever get an answer to this question about duplicate KB articles @Steve Fox2 ?
