Hi,

Knowledge Manager (knowledge_manager) is a baseline role available on all new instances. Like any role, it can be applied in a variety of places. The description from the record reads:

Can administer knowledge bases and request new knowledge bases for the knowledge_admin to approve

I'm not familiar with "Knowledge Owner". It does not appear as an OOB field, role, or elsewhere. Did you see this used on your system or are you referring to it in a written document or conversational context?

Thank you

I have the same question because in Knowledge v3 -- you can set an owner and managers of a Knowledge Base but we don't see any difference between the two.

Let me know if my answer helped.

The Owner is the top level for that knowledge base. Owners can add Managers. They control that specific knowledge base and can give rights (like manager) to other people.

Managers can do things like add pinned articles.

Request a knowledge base
