Idea portal category is not visible on idea form.

I have a custom field in idea table called "category" reference with im_category table.

when an idea is created from idea portal choosing all mandatory fields.

after creating idea, category is not showing in form.

quick help would be really appreciated.

Where does the initial creation of an "idea" happen? Is that within a portal or is that within a workspace? 

If it's being submitted from a portal, you might not have the field mapped to the correct field on the form.

it is within portal, i guess  i have mapped to right field but may i know how can i map the field.

So if it's through a portal, I am guessing it's a Record Producer that is creating the idea?

If that's the case, you'll want to go to the Record Producer itself. if you scroll down to the Variables related list, find the field name of category variable on the record producer and see if it matches the field name of category on the actual record itself.

I don't see anything named create an idea in record producers or maintain items.
